Indications for Use

Treatment of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

Composition & Active Ingredient

Active Ingredient: Favipiravir
Composition: Each film-coated tablet contains: active substance — favipiravir 200 mg; excipients — microcrystalline cellulose PH 101, crospovidone, povidone K-30, isopropyl alcohol, croscarmellose sodium, colloidal silicon dioxide (Aerosil), magnesium stearate, ready-made yellow coating, methylene chloride.

Dosage & Administration

Dosage: For patients weighing <75 kg — 1600 mg (8 tablets) twice on day 1, then 600 mg (3 tablets) twice daily from day 2 to day 10. For patients weighing ≥75 kg — 1800 mg (9 tablets) twice on day 1, then 800 mg (4 tablets) twice daily from day 2 to day 10. Total treatment duration is 10 days or until viral elimination is confirmed.
Usage Instructions: Taken orally, 30 minutes before meals. Treatment should be based on the clinical picture and/or after laboratory confirmation of the diagnosis.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to favipiravir or any component of the drug; severe hepatic impairment (Child-Pugh class C); severe and end-stage renal impairment (GFR <30 ml/min); pregnancy or planning pregnancy; breastfeeding; children under 18 years.

Storage & Packaging

Storage Conditions: Store in a place protected from light at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Keep out of reach of children. Shelf life — 2 years.
