Indications for Use

Stroke, acute phase of cerebrovascular disorders, and treatment of their complications and consequences; traumatic brain injury and its neurological consequences; cognitive and behavioral disorders due to chronic vascular and degenerative cerebral disorders.

Composition & Active Ingredient

Active Ingredient: Citicoline, 500 mg or 1000 mg per ampoule (4 mL).

Composition: For the 500 mg/4 mL dose: 1 ampoule (4 mL) contains active substance — citicoline sodium 522.52 mg, equivalent to 500 mg citicoline; excipient — water for injections. For the 1000 mg/4 mL dose: 1 ampoule (4 mL) contains active substance — citicoline sodium 1045.04 mg, equivalent to 1000 mg citicoline; excipient — water for injections.

Dosage & Administration

Dosage: For intravenous or intramuscular administration. IV — as a slow injection (3–5 minutes) or infusion (40–60 drops per minute). Recommended adult dose is 500–2000 mg/day depending on severity. Maximum daily dose is 2000 mg. In acute conditions, maximum therapeutic effect is achieved when administered within the first 24 hours. No dose adjustment needed for elderly patients. The solution is for single use only — use immediately after opening the ampoule.

Usage Instructions: Intravenous (slow injection over 3–5 minutes, or drip at 40–60 drops/min) or intramuscular. Compatible with all IV isotonic solutions, as well as hypertonic glucose solutions.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to any component of the drug; increased parasympathetic tone.

Storage & Packaging

Storage Conditions: Store in a dry place protected from light, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Keep out of reach of children. Shelf life — 2 years.
