Indications for Use

Systemic conditions requiring glucocorticosteroid therapy: rheumatic diseases (rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis), connective tissue diseases (lupus, dermatomyositis), severe allergic conditions, bronchial asthma, organ transplantation, skin diseases (pemphigus), hematological diseases, oncological diseases (leukemia, lymphomas), neurological disorders (cerebral edema, multiple sclerosis exacerbation), eye diseases, kidney diseases (glomerulonephritis), gastrointestinal diseases (ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease).

Composition & Active Ingredient

Active Ingredient: Methylprednisolone, 4 mg or 16 mg per tablet.
Composition: Each tablet contains: active substance — methylprednisolone 4 mg or 16 mg; excipients — corn starch, lactose monohydrate, PVP K-30 (povidone), colloidal silicon dioxide, croscarmellose sodium, sodium lauryl sulfate, calcium stearate, purified water.

Dosage & Administration

Dosage: The starting dose ranges from 4 to 48 mg/day depending on the disease and its severity (higher doses may be needed for severe acute conditions). Examples of starting/maintenance doses: severe rheumatoid arthritis — 12–16 mg / 6–12 mg; systemic lupus erythematosus — 20–40 mg / 8–20 mg; severe bronchial asthma — 16–40 mg; gastrointestinal diseases — 16–60 mg. For long-term therapy, the dose should be reduced gradually to avoid withdrawal syndrome.
Usage Instructions: Oral use. If a single daily dose is sufficient, it should be taken in the morning. For long-term treatment, use the minimum effective dose, preferably as a single morning dose every other day.

Contraindications

Systemic fungal infections; systemic infections without specific anti-infective therapy; hypersensitivity to methylprednisolone or excipients; administration of live vaccines in patients on immunosuppressive doses of corticosteroids.

Storage & Packaging

Storage Conditions: Store in a dry place protected from light, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Keep out of reach of children. Shelf life — 3 years.
