Indications for Use

Acute bacterial cystitis, acute episodes of recurrent bacterial cystitis; nonspecific bacterial urethritis; asymptomatic significant bacteriuria in pregnant women; postoperative urinary tract infections; prophylaxis of urinary tract infections during surgical intervention and transurethral diagnostic procedures.

Composition & Active Ingredient

Active Ingredient: Fosfomycin trometamol, 5.631 g per sachet (equivalent to 3 g fosfomycin).
Composition: Each sachet contains: active substance — fosfomycin trometamol 5.631 g, equivalent to 3 g fosfomycin; excipients — sucrose, sodium saccharin, tangerine flavor, orange flavor, colloidal silicon dioxide.

Dosage & Administration

Dosage: Adults — 1 sachet (3 g) once daily, on an empty stomach, 2 hours before or 2 hours after a meal, preferably before bedtime, after emptying the bladder. Treatment course — 1 day. In more severe cases (elderly patients, recurrent infections) — an additional sachet after 24 hours. Children aged 5 to 18 years — dose of 2 g once daily. For prophylaxis during surgical intervention — 1 sachet 3 hours before the procedure and a second sachet 24 hours after. In renal impairment, the dose is reduced and the interval between doses is extended.
Usage Instructions: Oral use. Dissolve the granules in 1 glass of water. Taken once a day, on an empty stomach, preferably before bedtime, after emptying the bladder.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to fosfomycin trometamol; severe renal impairment (creatinine clearance <10 mL/min); children under 5 years of age.

Storage & Packaging

Storage Conditions: Store in a dry place protected from light, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Keep out of reach of children. Shelf life — 3 years.
