Indications for Use

Infectious-inflammatory diseases caused by susceptible microorganisms: lower respiratory tract infections, urinary tract and kidney infections (including acute pyelonephritis), genital infections (chronic bacterial prostatitis), skin and soft tissue infections, intra-abdominal infections, acute bacterial sinusitis, tuberculosis (as part of combination therapy for drug-resistant forms).

Composition & Active Ingredient

Active Ingredient: Levofloxacin (as hemihydrate), 500 mg per tablet.
Composition: Active ingredient: levofloxacin hemihydrate, equivalent to 500 mg levofloxacin. Excipients: lactose, corn starch, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium methylparaben, magnesium stearate, talc, aerosil, sodium starch glycolate.

Dosage & Administration

Dosage: Depends on the type and severity of infection (for patients with normal renal function, creatinine clearance >50 mL/min): Acute bacterial sinusitis — 500 mg once daily, 10–14 days Chronic bronchitis exacerbation — 500 mg once daily, 7 days Community-acquired pneumonia — 500 mg once or twice daily, 7–14 days Uncomplicated urinary tract infections — 250 mg once daily, 7–10 days Bacterial prostatitis — 500 mg once daily, 28 days Skin and soft tissue infections — 250–500 mg once or twice daily, 7–14 days Intra-abdominal infections — 250 mg twice daily or 500 mg once daily, 7–14 days Tuberculosis — 500 mg once or twice daily, treatment course up to 3 months For patients with impaired renal function (CrCl≤50 mL/min), dose adjustment is required (see table in original document).
Usage Instructions: Take orally, during meals or between meals, without chewing, with sufficient liquid.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to levofloxacin or other fluoroquinolones, or to the excipients of the drug; epilepsy; tendon damage from previous quinolone treatment; pregnancy; lactation; children and adolescents (under 18 years).

Storage & Packaging

Storage Conditions: Store in a dry place protected from light, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Keep out of reach of children. Shelf life — 3 years.
